OUR SHOP APPRENTICE

Sydney's journey with Chalice first began in 2015, when she became an avid collector of tattoos from various artists in our studio. In 2018 she took the role of shop manager and officially joined the crew, running the shop as if it were her own. In 2024 Darcy offered her the rare opportunity to apprentice in tattooing, and she has been

learning the basics of the trade ever since! She's grateful to be learning in a shop with decades of experience surrounding her.

Sydney's tattoo education is rooted in Traditional American style, but she loves to try new styles to further expand her experience. She loves to do tattoos in all shapes and sizes, from small lettering to the weird and wild. She would love to work with you, if you'd like to work with her!

*NOTE: As Sydney is still in the midst of her apprenticeship, she is not yet considered a professional tattoo artist but we're very proud of her progress so far! She is still learning the basics from achieving clean and consistent linework, to packing solid black and color that heals smoothly. These skills can take years to develop, so during Sydney's apprenticeship she will be tattooing at discounted rates, in addition to offering free touch-ups on all of her work. Those that choose to be tattooed by our apprentice must sign a special waiver, and will be fully informed before doing so.
