Tattooing professionally since 1999, Darcy most enjoys tattoo work based on Japanese and American traditional, plus anything organic and illustrative. She can also do black & gray semi-realism, stipple, detailed color and intricate linework. Large-scale compositions that are custom tailored to fit the body are her specialty, but she enjoys doing tattoos of any size with some artistic freedom. Always happy to work with clients to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Derek enjoys tattooing in all styles, but specializes more in photographic reproductions & portraiture, realism with a painterly look, and black & gray pieces. He's been tattooing since 2007, and puts 100% into every project that he is entrusted with. Eddie is Idaho-born, and started tattooing in 2011. His favorite styles of tattooing are Traditional Americana, Traditional Japanese, and Black Work. Drawing and painting have always been Eddie's outlet for expression and it’s taken him a long way! He does every tattoo like it may be his last, with intentions to elevate tattooing and to never stop learning and innovating.
Originally from San Jose, CA, Shawn has been tattooing professionally since late 2005. He loves bold and bright tattoos that will last a lifetime. Early Americana, Japanese, and lettering are his favorites.
Having spent most of his life in the San Francisco bay area, Shawn was surrounded by astonishing and ground breaking tattooers that have inspired him to study all styles of tattooing and tattoo history.
Ben grew up in New Mexico, moved to Idaho late 2008, and began tattooing in 2009. Prior to tattooing, he dedicated over a decade of his life to street art. Ben is a well-rounded artist that puts much of his time into the designing process before even tattooing. His goal is to create unique tattoos that flow with the shape of the body and are pleasing to the eye.
Geometric, Black & gray, realism, bright and bold, and neo-traditional are some of Ben's favorite styles. His specialties include dot work (stippling), patterns, mandalas, ornamental, abstract, symbolism, floral, symmetrical designs and sacred geometry.
Ryan "Teach" Schienle
Teach has been tattooing since 1996, and is a very well rounded tattooer with years of experience in many different styles. He's a friendly fellow that makes everyone feel welcome, and you might just learn a thing or two while you're in his chair.
Ryan started tattooing in 1998 in the East Bay where he was born and raised. His tattooing career has been built from from his eternal drive and passion to go above and beyond the expectations of his clients and peers. His two amazing kids have taught him the importance of patience, compassion and fortitude over everything else.
Traditional American, Japanese, black & gray, and portraits are among his favorite styles. While eagles, skulls, daggers & lettering are some of his favorite imagery.
Rodney is a regular guest artist at Chalice. He owns Ace Custom Tattoo in Charlotte, NC where he resides. Tattooing professionally since 1997, Rodney is highly versatile and capable of drawing and tattooing pretty much anything that you can think of! Give us a call to see when he'll be back in town.
Darcy & Rodney Collaborations
Rodney Raines and Darcy Nutt have done numerous collaboration tattoos together over the years. This process involves both artists working in tandem thorough the entire tattoo process. From the consultation to the drawing, placement and tattooing. All done together at the same time! These collaborations are best suited to those with an exceptionally high pain tolerance that want a large piece in half the time. These tattoos have a unique look that is a perfect blend of both artist's style.
